Year Five Blog

Hello boys and girls,

The Year 5 Staff would like to say a huge thank you to all of you for the wonderful christmas presents you brought in last week.

I haven’t opened any yet…I’m saving them all for Christmas morning but I can’t wait!

Please thank your mums and dads for their thoughtfulness and generosity, which was quite overwhelming. I had to buy a new car to fit them all in!!!

On behalf of Mrs Dickson, Mrs Ottley and myself, we would like to wish each of you and your families a very merry Christmas and best wishes for 2009!

Thank you once again and we look forward to seeing you all in January after a wonderful holiday.

Lauren…

for WINNING the ‘Walk to School Week’ Design a Mascot Competition!

This competition ran throughout schools in Sefton and Lauren was the overall winner!

Today, Emma Hurst came in from Sefton Travelwise, to present Lauren with her amazing prize of an Artist’s set and Y5 were delighted to hear that the class would also receive a trip to the Walker Art Gallery in Town to see a professional artist.

Wow!

Well done to Lauren for creating ‘Walk Dog’ who I will put on the blog for you all to see as soon as I receive the image. Walk Dog will be used on all of the Walk to School publications in 2009!

Congratulations also go to Mark (Y6) and Bethany (Y1) for their designs which were runners up in the competition.
