Here are some examples of poetry we wrote last week…
Fireworks
Fire and smoke that swirls around
I can hear the sizzling fizzing sound
Ready set go the fireworks boom and
blow,
Everyone loves to go
Whizzing and whooshing past
Of course no one wants to be late
Running to try to get to the front
Kicking fireworks is bad
So it won’t leave you sizzling sad!

My firework poem
Bang whoosh boom,
up they zoom,
in the sky,
so very high,
bang whoosh boom.
Whirl crash fizz,
down they wizz,
all the pinks, reds, blues and green
light up the sky,
like a screen,
whirl crash fizz.
Sizzle fizzle pop,
round and round,
run the children on the ground,
with their sparklers,
their coulorful spaklers,
sizzle fizzle pop!

Interesting sparkles and sizzles
Really loud bang
Exploding bangs and sparkles
Whizzing away
One more each time
Rockets fly high
Kicking it`s way through the air

A big boom in the night
Could make you scared with a fright!
They go BANG, SIZZLE,
FIZZ AND CRASH.
They go up in the air like a bright flash.
Up they go with a POP.
Makesure they don’t come down with a drop.
Fireworks make me want to scream.
But in the night I have a great dream.

F is for fireworks shooting into the sky.
I is for injuries,you can get injured if you
are not careful.
R is for racket that dogs don’t like.
E is for enjoyment - listening to the
fireworks popping and sizzling.
W is for whizzing fireworks in the sky.
O is for often that people get hurt.
R is for rapid rockets flying and banging in
the sky.
K is for kill, fireworks can kill you if you are
not aware.
S is for scared animals looking for a place
to hide like dogs and cats.

Liar, liar sizzling fire
Banging in the night.
Careful now they’re really bright,
Bop, boom and pop,
They are out of sight
Liar, liar Sparklers a light
Hold on tight,
It is late at night.
Sizzle bang and BOOM!!!
Liar, liar the big bad fire
Sending up a blast.
Guy is sizzling on the top
And with a great big pop,
When will it stop?

Pants on fire
My pants have caught a light
Honest mum it wasn’t mine
I was trying to pass the time.

FIREWORKS POEM
Fireworks flashing and zooming in the air,
Is everyone pleased fireworks come tonight,
Racing each other through November midnight sky,
Excited families waiting to see whooshing fireworks!
Will they boom or crash?
Orange and pink popping around,
Rockets fizz and blast,
Kids will jump with joy,
Sizzling and banging in late evening.

Firework Poetry
Fireworks go BOOM until midnight.
I like the colours that flash in the night
Rows of people standing in the night BANG they have a
big fright
Every firework goes POP and all colours come out of
the sky
Whizzing up in the air they have their flight.
On Firework night we always remember the 5th of
November
Rockets Blast of in to the sky very high
Kind people let you see their fireworks
Sizzling fireworks zoom all around.

As they zoom into the sky, they start to pop so very high.
When they appear, you might get scared of the sounds
you hear .
Whizz, sizzle crash how very sad that they don’t last.
Look up, they’re whizzing around, lets just hope they
don’t hit the ground.
Without guy Fawkes they wouldn’t be here .
I really hope that they don’t disappear.
When your pets weep in fright ,fireworks explode in the
night.
Soon the fireworks disappear, we’ll have to wait until
next year.

Firework Poem
Fireworks are so cool up in the sky,
With a bang and a crash, a whizz and a boom
I think they are beautiful as well as
dangerous so be very careful and watch
out,
You’ll know when they start with a
fizz and a pop.
Sometimes you’re scared and sometimes
you’re not,
Have a cool bonfire with a guy on the top,
Enjoy yourself with a fizz and a pop!

Fireworks are popping in the night,
It was a sky full of fireworks, it was a
beautiful sight,
Racing through the night the fireworks
whoosh through the sky,
Exploding fireworks sizzle, whirl & boom,
Whooshing up into the night I was having
the time of my life,

it was a lovely scene,
Rushing up the fireworks shot,
Kids were screaming and shouting because
the fireworks were so loud,
Shooting up the firework goes, ouch it
nearly touched the tip of my nose.

Fireworks are fun but they can be dangerous…BANG.
I like fireworks but you can get injured.
Run away from fireworks or they will blast you.
Exploding in to the black sky.
Whizzing up in to the sky.
Out side of the gates I see the view, I like fireworks
so do you?
