Year Five Blog

Hi everyone.

Hope you and your families had an amazing Christmas and are enjoying the holidays.

Thank you  so much for all of the wonderful gifts that Mrs Dickson, Mrs Hall and myself received. You are all so kind and generous - it makes Christmas Day so exciting having so many lovely things to unwrap!!!

Unfortunately, the hols are going far too quickly and we will be back in school before we know it so, enjoy the last few days and I’d like to wish you and your families a very happy new year.

For the past term, in DT, we have designed and made Victorian Toys in groups.

In each group we had a designer, packaging designer, advertiser, artist and instruction writer.

Please take a look at our finished products - we are really proud of them.

At the moment, Miss B is counting our votes to see which is Y5’s favourite toy…

Well done to everyone - the finished products are amazing!

 

Next week, as it is our last week in school, we have got a lot to look forward to!

* We will start our Victorian Toy and ICT Presentations on Monday

* We will have a ‘Talent Show’ in class (probably Wednesday afternoon) so get practising. I look forward to seeing some singing, dancing, acting, joke telling, magic tricks etc…

* We have the disco on Tuesday afternoon and the ‘Wizard Of Magic’ will be performing for us on Wednesday morning.

* Don’t forget to practise those words for the Christmas Sevice on Thursday morning…our last day in school!!!!!

See you on Monday for our last week in Y5 in 2007!!!!

PS If anyone has any suitable DVDs for the whole class, then please bring them in. Oh, and Christmas CDs too! Thank you.
