Year Five Blog

Last Friday, Y5 were very lucky to finish their Science/PSHE topic with a visit from our School Nurse, Sarah Gill.

In Science we have been learning about ‘Keeping Healthy’ so Sarah came in to talk to us about ‘Smoking’. She did a quiz where we found out some really interesting facts! Afterwards, she showed us ‘Tar in a Jar’ which showed us what goes into your lungs when you smoke…and we agreed it wasn’t very nice!

We also had the chance to use real stethoscopes (like doctors use!) to measure our pulse rates before and after exercise.

It was a great way to end our topic.
