Climbing with confidence in Y5 and Y6!
Posted in Uncategorized on September 11, 2007 by year5As a result of our recent award of ‘Primary School of the Year’ at the Sefton Sports Awards, today Years 5 and 6 were provided with a very exciting opportunity!
All of the children were given the chance to try out their skills on a climbing wall, which was brought to school. Pictures will hopefully follow - if I can work out how to put a slideshow on the blog!!!
All of the boys and girls seemed to have a fantastic time. Their confidence levels were amazing!
Some of the teachers had a go too. Mr Rafferty made it to the top. Mr Hewer and myself had a race…I won’t embarrass anybody by saying who won but one of us was quicker going up and the other was quicker going down!!!
Well done boys and girls - I hope you all enjoyed the experience and a big thanks to ‘Positive Futures’ at Sefton Leisure Services, for providing us with this opportunity.
Welcome back!!!
Posted in Uncategorized on September 5, 2007 by year5Welcome to Year 5 and a new school year.
I hope you have all had a wonderful, relaxing break. Where have those six weeks gone, by the way???
Anyway, I look forward to hearing all about what you have been up to (and of course, getting stuck in to some really hard work!!!)
I have a brand new nephew (who is only 3 weeks old) which is my exciting news but I ‘ll tell you more when I see you.
Wolves have made a good start to the season (apart from an embarrassing defeat in the cup) but it’s looking good so far in the Championship.
See you all bright and early…
